Beardie Supply grew from a Facebook community with over 100,000 members. It is still the fastest way to get feedback and advice from real keepers.

  • Danielle Bond

When my bearded dragon suddenly stopped eating and basking, I was spiraling. I posted a photo of my setup here, and within ten minutes, it was pointed out that my T5 UVB bulb was expired and positioned too high. I changed it that afternoon, and my beardie was back to normal by the weekend. This community literally saved my peace of mind.

  • Raphaelle Corneau

I was struggling with keeping the humidity levels right in my new enclosure and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. The group stepped in immediately with practical advice and ventilation tweaks. Having experienced keepers ready to troubleshoot with you in real time is unmatched.

When did you last change your UVB bulb?

A UVB bulb keeps glowing for years after its UV output dies. If yours is past 12 months, your dragon is basking under a desk lamp. Our guide gives you the target UV index, the distance to set it at, and how to check it.

FROM THE UVB GUIDE

  • · Coil bulbs don’t cover a basking zone. Use T5 HO tubes.
  • · Target UVI 3 to 5 at the basking site, measured, not assumed.
  • · Mesh tops block anywhere from 12 to 70% of UVB by brand. The guide lists measured figures.
  • · Replace tubes on the maker’s interval. Set the reminder at 11 months so the new one is in hand.

Is this normal, or is this a vet day?

22 signs, sorted by urgency, the 5 that cannot wait listed first. Each one says what to check at home and when checking at home is over. Exotic vet appointments can take weeks, so it is worth knowing which signs can’t wait before you need to.
